Yes, we went to the Chandler public meeting regarding transit planning, and it seemed surprisingly car centered to me. I think this revolution may be more driven by the public than by the government.

Zach - thanks for the inspiration on the bread. How's your recipes coming these days? Good memories.

Jamie - go figure about the garden - I have no idea what I am doing. All I know is plant, mulch, water, and feed occasionally (with organic plant food of course!) You'll have to join us for some grilled corn on the front porch soon.

I think about this all the time. I wonder if heaven will be the absence of those things we have to do, and the presence of those things that are good and pure, that our souls long for.

But yes, for the meantime, it would be nice to start practicing this here on the ground. I join you in the fight against those pressing unimportances.

Sam - I hear you. Interestingly both art and nature are creations. Nature, a creation of God and art, a creation of man. Perhaps art is the best human attempt to find himself indeed in the image of a creative God. There is something about "creating" that fulfills our most intended purpose as people of divine-image.

I feel the same way. But although I connect very strongly with art, nature is still my number one reminder that God is there. Maybe it's God's art...
